**Peyton Manning Excuse Thread**

Thought we should have one of these for the pre-season.

So far between the NFLN and ESPN I have heard...

He hasn't thrown a ball in a year
His line might have issues because he is teaching them
The WR ran the wrong route on his overthrow

There's a definite difference in Manning's throws. Not saying he won't be good, but he's weakened for sure. Whether he regains that strength back as the season wears on is another thing.

In the meantime, I hope I get to see Caleb Hanie this year.

Anyone that watched PM throw today and thinks he is back to normal...doesn't know what they're watching.

That sideline pass took two minutes to get there.

Just watched the highlight reel and he didn't look anything like PM of old. He has happier feet right now and isn't putting much on his throws at all. Also the INT was thrown behind the receiver which is why the defender was able to knock it away so easily.

he was 4-7 in his first game back, and 2 of the throws were right on the money. He's not 100 percent, everyone knows that, but hell, his arm is still stronger then Cassel right now haha.

He's always done that happy feet thing. Thats how he getsi nto position to throw the ball so damned fast. His feet are always ready to throw.

Don't disagree. I just got tired of the ESPN analysts talking about him "not missing a step" and "looks stronger than ever."

Get real you fools the fuking Donkeys got a legit QB instead of that crap they beat us with last year. He showed enough tonight that it should put the rest of AFCW on notice. Am I crazy to think that their D looked improved? There scrub DL was much better than Chicago's scrub OL.

7 passes is hardly any kind of barometer of how he's going to play this season.

thought he looked ok for his first action since his injury but he'll never be as clutch as Eli.

it's his first game back in preseason and yes he looked better than I thought he was going to look. Looking through all of his options, hitting WR's downfield, finding a first down, etc. I mean, he only threw 7 passes but let's face it. With Manning and Rivers in this division, it's not gonna be easy plus I don't think we've ever beaten Peyton Manning. Denver has to be excited right now.
