**Peyton Manning Excuse Thread**

Thought we should have one of these for the pre-season.

So far between the NFLN and ESPN I have heard...

He hasn't thrown a ball in a year
His line might have issues because he is teaching them
The WR ran the wrong route on his overthrow

He was cool and calm in the pocket and that bodes well for the future.
His arm is way noodlier than it has ever been.

Again, he needs lots and lots of snaps to get it back up to full strength. That will come. But not immediately.

In the meantime, what did I tell you about his offense awhile ago? It will take time to get into a groove. Delirium Tremens clearly didn't know WTF was going on. "But he's doing so well in offseason practices!" you said.

Game. Action. Changes everything.

Ball appeared to be hanging in the air... It was accurate but so slow... Expect corners to be able to make up lost ground easily.

Yeah I actually can say that Denver isn't where I thought they were when it comes to being in sync with each other. Manning couldn't change the play at the LOS as he has in years past. That will come though. And once Manning can do his usual presnap antics and everyone is on the same page, Manning will look like the Manning of old.

I hope your expectations have been tailored for the first half of the season. Manning will be pretty shaky, as will that offense. It's going to take quite a bit of time to get that unit to sync up.

I have no doubt Manning will get his strength back and some day make it work. But it ain't happening Game 1.

I just want to protect your feelings, that's all.
A QB that hasn't played in a year, is on a new team with new WRs in an outdoor stadium, coming off of neck surgeries and is 37 years old is what my expectations are based on. So far so good, I like what I see compared to last year.
What I like even more is having a front office that makes a move to get a manning while drafting for a QBOTF at the same time. If Osweiller is that QB great, if he's not I know we'll go until we get one sooner rather than later. Wouldn't trade places with anyone and sure as hell not anyone in the West.

How much more do you think he's going to improve in the next 3 weeks?

I cant see him arm strength getting that much better in only 3 weeks.

Manning's arm did look weaker than normal, but at the end of the day, he still has every other tool at his disposal to make up for it.

He'll be a good QB, but i think gone are the days of him carrying the team.

Arm strength is fine, not worried about that.

Hey moron, if the media is concentrating on Tebow, like they are now doing with the NY Jets, then it doesn't matter what team he goes to the media will follow him.

Soooo... my position is valid by the empirical evidence and your logic is the one that is completely flawed.

oh and btw, the Broncos won the AFCW with Tebow last year and the Broncos won a playoff game so that should garner a little media exposure. Now I understand that you don't know what it's like to win a playoff game so you instead create imaginary bs arguments to make your lame ass feel better about your lame team.

In other words, herpy derp derp, chef fan.
