The only bullshit spewed here is that Haley was the big bad guy and Charlie Weis was some kind of hero.

Weis was successful because he was willing to accept Cassel's faults and work around them. Haley wasn't. Haley expected a lot more from Cassel and in the end, not being willing to compromise got him fired.

Everybody here says Haley was crazy. Yet it's completely unreasonable that an insane person would squander his biggest chance at head coaching glory in an effort to prove he's right.

Laz, just give it up about Haley. Many of the things that made him successful enough to get a shot, were the things that brought him down. Let's also forget this fantasy that Weis was some sort of Cassel whisperer. The bubble has burst on that fairy tale.

Haley wasn't ever going to be able to run with the restrictions that Pioli put on him and the amount of control that Pioli seems to want to have. Obviously Haley couldn't adjust. Hopefully Pioli can, because no organization can be successful if the GM is making all the decisions for the head coach.
