Pioli is an insane total control freak. Its just more proof that the RAC hire was about control and nothing else.

Romeo was just the safe hire. We know he wouldn't hire anyone outside of the tree. I think Haley and Pioli's relationship deteriorated to the point where he had to can him midseason because Haley was tanking it, and Pioli didn't have a backup plan or any real "tree" candidates available
