Incidentally, I think this may be the first time I've ever seen all the Official Clark Hunt Memes laid out in one thread like this.

He has no balls.
In 2008, only one season after Clark began running the franchise with no oversight from his dad, he -- to put it cleanly -- completely changed the direction of the team.

To put it uncleanly, Clark handcuffed Carl Peterson to the headboard like Carl was a cuckolded husband being forced to watch his wife **** another guy. Carl's wife was the Chiefs, the other guy was Herm Edwards, and to Carl's unending horror, Herm gave it to her rebuild style, which Carl always thought was too dirty and unbecoming for his lady.

And Clark didn't just approve it, he filmed it and then threw Carl out in the street when it was over.

It should go without saying that the decision to let Herm go young and rebuild didn't do much for attendance or any other measure of business, since after talking a good game about patience and rebuilding, three quarters of the fanbase melted down two weeks into the '08 season.

And up to that point, Carl was still successfully using bullshit and slight of hand to keep Arrowhead full well into December. Because, hey, we might go 9-7 and sneak in, and then anything can happen!

So while Clark could have kept on pumping Carl's well for a few more years, he opted to seal and cover it instead.

Clark abandoned Carl's financially-successful-but-a-failure-onfield method and put the team on a path better suited to longterm winning. Then he oiled up, flexed, and went out and hired the biggest fish in the GM pond to run his franchise.

It has been oft-reported that the Chiefs spent the 9th most cash in the league in 2011. Apparently, at least going into the season -- the rankings will surely fluxuate in the coming months as contract extensions and whatnot get done -- the Chiefs have now risen to 3rd on that list.

Did I miss any?
