can someone tell me how to get linebackers and safeties to line up over their assigned man? I play the 360 version if that makes a difference.

I just get frustrated with blitzing because if a safety has to cover a running back, he stays deep and there is no way he can make up the distance once the play starts. the same goes for linebackers trying to man cover tight ends, split ends and slot receivers.

You don't want LB's covering split ends or slot receivers.. but to answer your question, use man align. Coverage Audible then D-pad to the right i think.

You can manually bring to safeties down a bit to close the gap on the RB.

Yeah that man align option doesn't ever work for me. It takes defenders even farther away from their man sometimes.

to throw the ball away, press the right analog stick.

I've been looking through other forums and guides to figure out how to get the defenders to man up correctly. still haven't found the answer. I did find that man align has nothing to do with it though. Apparently the man align is used for disguising zone coverage.

It irritates the hell out of me when an ILB is supposed to be covering a TE and you can't get him to move over to line up with him.

Sometimes flipping the play will correct that. If that doesn't work, I just grab the player and manually move him closer to the player he's supposed to be defending.

Wait- so you want your ILB to line up over the TE pre-snap? What about his gap assignments if they run?
