No, this team is close. They are not losing because of the talent on the field. IMO.

All I can say after last night: Damn, it feels good to be a Quakes fan.

Then every single team will be no more connected to the others than NFL or MLB teams are. 15/19 are already completely there, to my knowledge. The "empty stadiums" and "no cups" stuff is pretty out there, too.

Wish it was a Saturday game. We could have gotten some real numbers there as it was there were about 100 of us. After that second goal we really really got back what we put out...those guys rubbed are noses in it but thats the fun. The highs and lows of the game.
I was impressed with Houston's stadium. There was some drama post game with huge groups of fans and throwing shit at our bus...security did what it could for the most part. I love going on the road. |

In regards to the advantage. The advantage should be seeding...even though Houston is just a team...they have our number...the find ways to beat us. There is also supposed to be an inherent advantage in hosting the second game and knowing what you need to do for the home game...and in the case of OT or PKs having that play out in your house instead of theirs.
One change I think would be worth considering (they do this is Mexico) is that in the case of a tie in aggregate instead of doing OT and PKs the higher seed wins the series. Not sure I am in favor of it but its compelling. |

Hey Zach were you wearing a flanel like shirt at the game? I think I saw you on 41 when they were showing highlights.

Who is going tonight? I am. I wish I could say I was as confident as I normally am but I'm not. Hoping for the best... Go SKC!

I think the playoffs are dumb - if they want to have a cup after the league - fine - seeded with how they finished the year, fine...
League should be points only. Last edited by carlos3652; 11-07-2012 at 04:04 PM.. Reason: Took off the relegated portion - system not in place to support it.. |

In a perfect world -
MLS Champion for the League determined by points. (top 2 directly qualify into CONCACAF Champions - the 3rd place team may qualify if the US Cup Winner is one of the top 2 teams in the standings) US Open Cup (keep it just like it was in 2012) - (winner directly makes it to CONCACAF Champions) Supporters Shield - Top 2 teams in the standings from prior year battle it out in a neutral stadium before the beginning of the new season. MLS 8 CUP - Top 8 teams in the standings at the end of the year, play a home and away cup to determine this cups winner (gives other teams something to play for in season). |

They may be dumb but they might also be my last chance to cheer, yell, sing, and have a blast at a professional sporting event in KC until March 2013. To top that off it's soccer which I love almost as much as life itself... I want to savor every last moment. And if it ends up not being the last one until March 2013 then I'll be at the next one in case it is.
