I hate to break this to all the people who are going with calling him names. SOC was a movement that brought the plight of the Chiefs fan to the front of the nation. Without Whitlock that would have never happened. SOC would have been nothing more than a local movement involving some people with extra cash to hire a banner.

Marty and prcapone represented the movement professionally and didn't come off as drunk hot head fans. I think that was key to the success more than Whitlocks podcasts and $600. |

However, Chiefs fans flying banners over the stadium calling for the ouster of the GM and starting quarterback is no small thing and certainly a newsworthy event. We'll never be able to prove it either way, but I have a strong sense that Whitlock can smell a good story a mile away and part of the reason he got involved was to piggy-back on the SOC movement. Was that worth $600 to him? Of course, it was. So, who helped who? More importantly, does it even matter? I, for one, am grateful to Whittles for stepping up and playing a role. However, I'm not so naive as to believe that it would have happened if SOC's agenda had been inconsistent with his own. FAX |

![]() We can only guess about the national presence thing, but you could be right. I am not sure which game it was, maybe the first one with a banner, but the announcers were talking about the banner. The local networks were involved and of course they are connected nationally as well. No matter what, as we both agree, the job Marty and pr did makes us glad that someone like "Barryskoolaid" wasn't heading it up. |

There's really no sense in arguing over who had more weight to Hunt, because only Hunt can answer that. |

Really? I saw lots of news stories about Save Our Chiefs and banners flying over Arrowhead. Hardly any of those stories mentioned Whitlock. So you think it was his $600 that made the difference?
