The 49ers have expressed to others that a deal for QB Alex Smith is effectively complete. Can't be finalized til league year begins 3/12

Jason La Canfora ‏@JasonLaCanfora

so it's not official, both clubs view it at as it's effectively done. I do not know the other team. KC and JAX are 2 teams that make sense

Chiefs are closing in on a deal, just like Andy Reid to the Cardinals was a done deal.

We **** the Cardinals on Reid.

The Cardinals **** us on Horton.

We **** the Cardinals again by making them give up more to get Alex Smith whilst we get Geno.

Why did local media in Arizona (sommers) confirm Arizonans interest I. Smith but nobody from KC is able to confirm the reports? You don't have to be in Indy to confirm anything.

Damn, I forgot about Ray Horton. Son of a bitch. This whole offseason has been KC vs. Zona.

They won that battle.

We'll win this war.

Why hasn't Kansas City denied it? Why are they refusing to comment?

Refusal to comment is the same as admittance typically when it comes to sports news.

In all seriousness, I am still bitter about Horton.

Everything else has seemed to fall right for us to get Geno. Star's health, Joeckel slipping, no to Foles so far, etc.

Arizona better not **** this up.

You just won't back down from this. You are one determined troll.

I'm sure this has been covered somehow somewhere around here, but why exactly are you so dead set sure that Andy Reid wants Alex Smith so badly?

If Arizona doesn't think they can get Smith traded to them within the division, the last thing they will want to do is drive the price up for San Fran.

If Arizona is interested, they are in it to get him. It would make no sense to drive up the price to the benefit of a division foe.

Amen.

Don't underestimate the Jets not getting in on this, or the Raiders (even though I think the Raiders are starting to turn things around with Granpa Greasy not ****ing things up).
