We have seen the script that Alex Smith will write if he's the QB. It involves hearbreaking losses in the playoffs, despite homefield advantage, while watching another team's FRANCHISE QB make the key plays to win the game and move on, while our QB does an excellent job of not making mistakes.

Alex will play time of possession and keep your defense off the field. No he's not going to throw the ball around explosively, but he will manage the game, keep the defense off the field for you guys. That what Alex is so good at.

I understand that's what fans don't want but it wins you games. This idea that a game manager QB is bad makes no sense. That's what a QB supposed to do.
