Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

I think you misunderstood my post, there is nothing wrong with Wolf, Silver Bear, Brown Bear ammunition. I'd stay away from the Tula crap personally.
I've shot 10,000+ rounds of Wolf/Silver Bear, and never had a problem. Actually I had one, one day shooting and going back and forth between brass and steel all day, I had a steel case stick in the chamber during extracting. 5 seconds with a cleaning rod and I was back to shooting. This is a common thing if you go back and forth without some cleaning. I buy Wolf for less than $200/1000 and will typically buy 5-10 cases at a time. Posted via Mobile Device |

The worst case it would damage your upper, (new one will set you back $100) your barrel ($100-200, unless it's a nice one and then you're probably not shooting cheap ammo through it), or your bolt, possibly the carrier ($30-$150). Even if it was possible to damage the lower ($100, but I've never seen a lower damaged by ammo). That said any part that got damaged can be replaced for about $100, seeing how steel case can save $100+ per case, you'd have to be the unluckiest person on earth to even have one yet alone more than one ka-boom per thousand rounds. The nice thing about the AR platform is everything is interchangeable, thus if something ever breaks it can be replaced easily and cheap. Posted via Mobile Device |

It was in stock, but deals like that last about 2-5 minutes. I post a lot of deals on here when I find them and most of the time, I just go back in here and do a hard delete on them when they sell out.

My Mini-14 is not picky, and I'm looking forward to being able to shoot again. Been holding out since fall.

Went and picked up a new optic to try out with the AR last night.
After sampling all of the Eotech's and a few other holographic setups I decided to go with a "Sight Mark Ultra Shot Pro spec" unit. Anybody ever check these out? Just waiting for my rear flip up site to come in and I should be set. |

Still feeling giddy about the new 9mm I picked up earlier today.
Sig P226 Tac Ops. Came with 4x 20rd mags. The only friggin ammo they had left for a Luger was the damn Zombie rounds @ $19/box so I figured what the hell. |
