See, where we differ is I see all that as coach able. He's not obviously going to start for atleast a year, likely 2. It would be a good situation for him coming here with Reid in that IIRC, that was alot of the same criticisms McNabb had.

This entire situation is just amazing. It quite honestly can't be made up. On top of all of this the GM that put us in this situation is sitting their on TV telling the world about the holes we have, BECAUSE of him! Peyton goes to DEN, we miss Luck, and our regime hates the QBs coming out so much we give up a shit ton for Alex Smith!!! It's just too perfect.

I couldn't dream up this scenario for a division rival if I tried. Lets add to it that half the fan base is in a dream state right now and our old coach is on TV telling the world we love this move.

I kind of wish I was the kind of fan that liked this move. They obviously aren't that invested in the team and are just along for the ride, even if it doesn't go anywhere.

Guys Alex Smith did have the highest passer rating in the NFL before Kaepernick came in.

Cant say the same for Cassell.

Meh. Just means that Harbaugh is good at hiding Smith's flaws, just like Weis was with Cassel in 2010.

Didn't call it stupid just preferred Andy Dalton but he was gone anyways. Needed a backup plan for Alex just as you guys do.

Plus there was that one time he graded out perfectly while throwing 3 intercepions.
