Look, all this posturing about "Only first round QB's can win a Super Bowl" is just nonsense. Yet when Brees or Kaepernick or other 2nd round QB's are brought up, that's different.

Again, it's clear that Reid and Dorsey aren't comfortable with this year's crop of QB's. It's been said over and over and over again that this is a weak class. There are faults with every QB. So for them to trade for Smith shouldn't be a surprise or a shock, nor should it indicate that they will NEVER draft a QB and develop him.

All it means that it won't likely happen in 2013. Big ****ing deal.
Do you think there is any validity to the idea that Clark mandated going with a veteran QB because it would make the team competitive quicker instead of going through the growing pains of a rookie QB? He pretty much squashed the idea of drafting a 1st round QB unless they were a sure fire pick right after he hired Reid. He said that coach and GM report directly to him now, so it appears that he is more in control.

Oh Smith had bad receivers in SF? Well thank god he now has Baldwin and McCluster to bring out the best in him.

Here's a news flash: KC has shit receivers too.

I don't believe in any mandate however I think Clark is clueless football guy and will get his info on players and do what ever the gurues tell him to do.
