Now Who is the #1 Pick???

Prediction: Star Star Lotulelei

His heart issue will turn out to be nothing and the Chiefs replace Dorsey with Star.

But who knows? Maybe they sign Matt Moore next week to back up Smith. Everything is pure speculation at this point.
There are reports that the Browns want Moore.

No you don't think these. That's because you don't think. THAT's because,... oh that's right....you're Detoxing....

Says the guy with the reputation of the worst football takes on the forum.....

You honestly think Alex Smith has a say in the matter? No, sorry, i don't think any "promises" were made to Alex Smith. That is reeruned.

You honestly think players have input on who the team drafts?

Powder keg.... good one.

Im sure adding Geno Smith, an unproven rookie, would ignite instant controversy in the locker room with a new QB and new HC

I won't be surprised even a little if Joekel is still the pick at #1. By tagging Albert, the chiefs have upped the value of the number one pick simply because we don't "need" it anymore, same goes for Alex Smith. So, it also wouldn't shock me if they trade down, even if they get a little less to do so, and take a guy like Miliner or the receiver from Ten.

I think they will restructure Tyson Jacksons contract and with Poe, Powe, T Jackson, Pituitary boy, as the d line, they would be fine with that going into the draft, where they can then pick up depth later. Particularly if they are able to trade down for more picks.

Interesting.

Dorsey has already stated publicly that the #1 overall pick is up for grabs. "Come and get it" were his exact words.

I think the Chiefs will have plenty of options come draft day to move around.

Lets face it CB is our weakest spot. And yes that includes QB. Miliner is a sure thing as a prospect as well.

The question was who will the Chiefs take. I said Star Lotuleilei and never implied that he was the best player available. If you assume I believe Dorsey will absolutely take the "BPA", I see how you could arrive at that assumption. I don't think he will though.

has to be Joeckel, Millner or a trade. Nothing else makes logical sense.

How exactly does Joeckel make sense?

How does Joeckel make any more sense than a QB, LB or DL?

If the reason that we don't take Miliner is because we are picking #1 that's absurd. The reason positions like CB (or OG, C, & Safeties) haven't historically been drafted in the top 5 is $$$$$. When we picked Berry we had to immediately make him a top 5 paid Safety before he ever played a snap.

With the new CBA this has now changed. Lower rookie contracts open up teams to really take BPA regardless of position because you dont have to pay a rookie guard or CB top 5 money @ his position before he steps on the field.

If the KC scouts view Miliner as one of the top 5 players in this draft, we should SERIOUSLY consider him @ #1 simply due to the glaring hole we have at CB.
