Pat, you're free to believe what you will. But this "person" has been following me around for months, either misquoting me or pulling up old quotes I've made in an attempt to discredit me. This practice started with GoChiefs and this person hopped in.

This is a forum. Most everything is permanent (I say most because early posts are a mess). Sometimes I'm right, sometimes I'm wrong. But I don't need someone constantly pulling up thoughts from years ago in an effort to discredit thoughts from today.

It's petty, obsessive nonsense.

That may well be true and I don't have a problem with you and King going after each other. I just think people should do their trash talking on the public board instead of in PM. And I don't think there's anything wrong with publicizing nasty PMs and rep messages.

And the way we express our current opinions with such certainty (and profanity) encourages people to go back into the archive to find inconsistencies and mistakes. You're certainly not the only person who does this. It's become a bad habit on this board. The Geno mafia do it all the time.

.
This concept is interesting and new to me, as the other boards I frequent have a permaban policy on posting PMs.

Message boards are rife with dumb policies. If I give you a reason to believe that the PM you send me will be held in confidence (e.g. I ask you to send your contact info to me via PM), then it shouldn't be publicized. But when someone sends you a nasty or threatening PM so that they can avoid any negative reaction from onlookers, you (the recipient) shouldn't be obligated to protect them.

I think the rule should be that the recipient can decide whether or not to make those messages public unless they've given someone an assurance of secrecy.

That's probably best.

Why? That just gives people a license to be shit heads without consequence. If king didn't ask for a message from Dane, he shouldn't be sworn to keep Dane's comments secret.

It just isn't a common policy on the other forums I frequent.

Probably because they're larger and most of the people there are genuine dicks who have released personal/contact info via PMs.

I'm not really sure why. I'll have to find out one day.

Releasing personal info is already ban-worthy.

Funny, being you use Stanzi stuff against me every time you lose the edge in a debate. My thread about taking him in the late second round was from mid season 2010 and you have used it against me in Geno threads at least 5 or 6 times.

I haven't misquoted you. All the quotes I pull up are relevant to the topics. And plus, you're a giant pussy with a napoleon complex so it's kinda fun.
