Chiefs sign TE Anthony Fasano

Mike Garafolo ‏@MikeGarafolo

Chiefs expected to sign TE Anthony Fasano. Adding that now to our free agency roundup (http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports...undup/1982035/ …)

Adam Teicher ‏@adamteicher

Can confirm that #Chiefs have reached an agreement with TE Anthony Fasano.

Aaron Wilson ‏@RavensInsider

Anthony Fasano's deal with Chiefs is four years, $16 million, including $4.5 million signing bonus, per league source.

No one is really a "can't miss" and Joeckel might only be (one of) the best of a weak lot, but Jenkins isn't really the comparison to make here. Tony Mandarich is a better one.

A big TE acquisition? WTF do we need a big TE acquisition for? That should be priority #75 on our list.

Fasano is a decent signing. He can both catch and block....and he's a good redzone target.

The Bad Guy said they wanted to upgrade the TE spot, likely with a big name.

I'm waiting to see in Finley shakes lose

This free agency is purely about filling holes so that we aren't drafting for need in April.

id like to see the numbers, i dare say they paid him like he will be the starting TE

i know that doesnt sit well with a lot of you Tony Moeaki lovers out there, but this was their first signing of the day and they had to get him away from Miami to do it, so they obviously outbid at least one team for his services, which I'm scared they might have overpaid for a guy such as this lol

They expected him to be free. He's not going to be so they moved on a guy they liked.
