Every team knew that the 49ers would not keep A. Smith (not at his salary)
Every team knew that only ARZ had an interest in him
Everyone knew that ARZ was not willing to give a high pick for him

Therefore, we gave up TWO high picks for him.

Using the same logic, if we can find a new GM as horrible as ours, we ought to be able to get a 4th rounder for Cassel.

Unfortunately, there are no fools as bad as our fool. A pity.

Still, it is possible we get a 7th rounder for Cassel.
