If they continue to "win over their fan base" by throwing 2nd round picks at veteran stiffs, then the fan base needs to be taken out back and shot. At least whatever fan base is still left.

You're missing the point where it actually worked.

The Chiefs haven't won a playoff game in 20 years. Before their first playoff appearance in 1986, they hadn't been in the playoffs in 15 years.

This franchise is shit covered in shit. It always has been and it always will be, until they prove otherwise.

Which is why I cannot understand the faux outrage.

Sure.

It's why I can't get too worked up about people who are saying "**** it, I'm out". A fair weather fan would ahve likely left a long time ago.

I think it's awesome, personally.

I've been a fan of this franchise since the late 60's. I've sat in an empty Arrowhead Stadium wearing a parka on many occasions.

I went to "scab" games.

I was there when Marty was hired, when Barry Word ran for 200 yards and Barry Sanders ran for 100 yards and flew back to see Joe Montana on Monday Night Football in 1993.

I've been to San Diego countless times, to Denver to the Meadowlands to watch Favre beat them in a game they should have won (if only DJ had made that interception) and I'm sure I'll see them time and time again, even if they suck and lose.

But you won't see me pull my own man card and say "That's IT! They didn't take the guy I wanted so I QUIT!".

What a bunch of ****ing weeping vaginas.

Just hypothetically because Sorter had a few to many Bombay Sapphires, would you say that if we passed on Luck and RG3?

I think that someone would have assassinated Clark Hunt, Scott Pioli and Romeo Crennel.

Seriously.

I also believe that while there's a slight chance, maybe .0000001% that would have happened, even Scott Pioli was drooling over both guys last year and said something to the effect of "Draft them? I want either of them to marry my daughter!".

That't probably a bit too far for me but I have yet to procreate.

You also live in LA, I doubt you have season tickets.

I don't blame someone not wanting to spend thousands of dollars to take themselves and their family to games.

I will personally ahve season tickets when I finally have the DR in front of my name, (mainly so I can have a reason to come back to KC and hang out with d school guys and call it a business trip).

Now if someone wants to not watch games on TV because the team didn't do what they wanted them to do, yeah that might be a little silly. I get it, I won't do it, but I get it.

I've already addressed that topic. I would never, ever attempt to spend anyone's money for them.

That said, I drove all over this town to find a sports bar to watch the Chiefs on a 13" TV back in the 90's. I went to some incredible sports bars late in the 90's and early 2000's but was relagated to a 19" TV with a few toothless Missourians (no joke).

Fortunately, I've had Direct TV since 2003 and have spent literally tens of thousands on their service, just so I can have the Sunday Ticket and watch the Chiefs in the comfort of my own home.

The 5.1 sound and 65" LCD hasn't hurt, either.

Sure. So when someone says "I'm giving up the tickets till they do Z or X or Y" it doesn't bother me too awful much.

I like going to games, loses suck, wins are awesome.

We also have STL Cardinals season tickets and it's a whole different feelling/thought process in regards to those and a franchise that has gone above and beyond to put a winner on the field.

That was my point.

The people that are still left, the people that love the Alex Smith move, love the Chase Daniel move, loved the Matt Cassel move, loved Brady Quinn and Ricky Stanzi and Damon Huard and Brodie Croyle and Tyler Pigpo. They're the people that would ask for more if Clark Hunt took a ****ing dump in their mouth. The people where it doesn't matter an iota what the team does, cause damnit, they're "loyal"! The fans of this team, especially the majority of the locals, don't give two shits about what's on the field. The team wouldn't lose anything if they drafted a QB at this point, because the fans that are still tailgating and in the stands and buying season tickets will choke down whatever flavor kool-aid they're handed. Whether it's Alex Smith or Alex Tanney or Geno Smith or Sean Renfree. All the same to them.
