It definitely kills the 'no one thinks theres a franchise qb' in this class argument...It shows that another organization is willing to roll the dice, and play for big money at the table rather than sit , shamefully but safely, at the nickel slots.

I wouldn't go quite that far. The last two QBs this place has gone crazy about were Sanchez and Jimmy Clausen. That hasn't stopped anyone from going nuts about Geno Smith.

No it wasn't. Sanchez at least had a higher unknown ceiling. Basically the Chiefs bought a $1 ticket with a jackpot pot of $1000 and lost and the Jets bought a $1 ticket with a 1 Million Dollar jackpot and lost with likely with better odds. The Jets made the smarter move, but neither one panned out.
