I don't know if it was a colossal mistake or not. Maybe the Broncos just set the market for Dumervil and Dumervil just told his agent, "Screw 'em." He'll get that much money and more playing for another team.

A bet a lot of players are getting tired of contracts that the teams don't have to fulfill, and I bet Dumervil wasn't exactly happy to hear Elway say, "...when you look at the market and what's out there now. It's (his salary) so far out of whack. Hopefully, he realizes that."

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Dumvervil just gave Elway a big FU.
