Eventually it couldn't take the pain any more and laid down. I didn't have a gun, so I guess the coyotes are going to have to have it. I really need to get a gun into my pickup. I guess at least it doesn't have antlers to ruin (more) tires.

I did feel bad for it. I'm a cold hearted bastard, but I wish I had a gun to put it down.

Here you can see his back leg doing a whole lot of not a damn thing. I had to zoom in and crop it quite a bit. I wasn't keeping up in my rubber boots.
Dnt feel bad. Mother nature will turn her into excellent food for the yote pups that are filling up the dens all around you right now.

I checked twice to make sure the date on the camera was correct. He's one of several that are still holding on to them. At this time last year I already had pictures of an inch or two of new antler growth.
