Jordan has started 34 games for Andy Reid in Philly and they thought enough of Johnson to spend a fairly valuable pick on him. I don't care about a linebacker that was on IR last year AND STILL CAN'T EVEN PRACTICE. |

Obviously if this noob is confused. If he think a gimp who missed all of last season and still hasn't been cleared to even practice lightly is a better option b/c of what he did before he gimped up, well then, I think you're the "on paper" guy. Dumbass. That said, IF he gets checked out by a doctor, and will likely be fine, I'd welcome the addition. |

From rotoworld
http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4403/desmond-bishop Packers released ILB Desmond Bishop. The sides couldn't agree to a contract restructure, so 28-year-old Bishop will hit free agency as one of the top players available. Assuming his right hamstring checks out medically -- and it was severely injured last year -- Bishop would make an awful lot of sense reuniting with Chiefs rookie GM John Dorsey in Kansas City. A high-impact player when healthy, Bishop racked up 115 tackles, five sacks, and two forced fumbles in 13 starts in 2011, before missing all of 2012. He'd be a big upgrade on Nico Johnson and Akeem Jordan next to Derrick Johnson |

Nico Johnson's ceiling probably isn't much higher than Belcher imo. Bishop would be an upgrade at the position, assuming he's healthy.

Johnson is strictly a thumper who offers next to nothing in pass coverage. Bishop was one of the 10 best linebackers in the NFL 2 years ago. If his hamstring checks out, he's a no-brainer.

Sounds like KC or Minny for Bishop I guess. I'm not too excited because he's been hurt and not practicing.

Bishop's really a swiss army knife linebacker. Now, if he's only on one leg, that significantly changes things.

I know we like our rookies, but the NFL is fast and Nico looked a little slow at Alabama. He's worth checking out. There is no way that Johnson will ever be as good a player as a healthy Bishop was; the athleticism just isn't there. But the question, as has been noted several times, is health. Folks that are saying we don't have a use for the guy are out to lunch. He's an outstanding player when he's right and if the Docs think he's right, then we'd be fools not to bring him on.

IF you can bring this guy in, and have a player of Nico's caliber being a backup and special teamer, thats a good thing.

give me 10 names that were better that year, I cant wait to see this
http://www.pro-football-reference.co...11/defense.htm as it stands on paper stats wise, hes already 8th, but I'm sure youll give some crazy opinion about a bunch of players that dont deserve to be ahead of him cause you jerk off to Madden football more than you do watching real football. |
