I would have liked a better record, as this team is too talented to not to be playing below .500 ball. That horrendous stretch of May really hurt this team, yet, we're what, 4 or 5 games behind first?

Insane.

KC really needs to find a big bat to help produce runs. See the 8th inning, bases loaded as an example, and KC failed to get a run in.

It's funny because my concern was the pitching still wouldn't be good enough to get over the hump. Instead, if this team had any offense at all they'd probably compete for the division. At least Hosmer's starting to hit.

IMO if we even went right below .500 in May we would be leading by 5 games. Thats just 'bro'-math off the top of my head

Helps that Moose has been playing better as of late. If Hos and Moose keeps getting better and getting their average up to where they should be, and if the pitching can hold up....

Still... it's July... KC is 5 games out of first... would be great to finish this on a strong note before the All-Star break.
