If he sucks at RT then why the **** would we put him over at LT and replace Brandon Albert who can actually play LT pretty good?

he won't. And kc didn't draft him to play RT, they are only playing him there because of Albert. Once Albert is gone, Fisher will move to LT and the kc can bring in another RT.

Given the enormous risk the Chiefs took for leaving their comfort zone and not drafting a DT with that pick then I would say that if he fails it would shatter the Chiefs confidence in their drafting approach. It will set the teams management back for decades. In desperation they will make a trade with Frisco for one of their backup QBs but that move alone won't restore the Chief's confidence like it usually does. So they will panic and draft workout warriors that look great but have severe injury issues. In the end, none of their patented moves that they have been using for over 35 years will work and they will become frustrated and fire the GM/head coach.

Even if he does move, you're seriously going to be terrified by a left tackle?

Uh huh.

LT is one of the franchise positions in the NFL, all you have to do is look at what premier LTs get paid. This is a QB driven league so if you have a franchise LT it's just one of the building blocks in making a good offense. Just because it's not a sexy draft pick doesn't mean it's not a valuable pick.

I'm not sure why I'm even arguing with you as I've proven over and over that you are a moron when it comes to basic football 101.

Meh, what the hell do I care anyway? If you all think Fisher was a bad pick that's fine with me, no skin of my back.

Sure, it's an important position, but we're not talking about the next Willie Roaf here. He's not even an upgrade over the LT we already had.

Albert is still something of a technical mess, but he recovers from technical mistake3s with superior athletic ability.

not sure what your point is. Fisher was drafted to play LT and unless Albert moves to RT, he's gone. Albert does not want to move to RT, he wants premium LT money. Fact is, he's not a premium LT. He's good, but not great. This is the issue kc's front office is going through with Albert, this is the road block.

Miami didn't even want to give kc a second round pick for Albert. This should tell you something.

Look, just shut the **** up. We had this argument for months before the draft, and I don't feel like having it again with a ****ing Donks fan who spouts the same garbage about LTs being crucial to the success of an offense that doesn't have a real QB.

Sometimes.

A lot of the time his lack of footwork, particularly the lack of a functional kick-step, doesn't allow him to recover. He's not very good against wide speed rushers and he is pretty bad most of the time once he gets to the second level - just has a real hard time finding his man and holding the block.

Honestly, the team would be much better off by putting him inside right now, getting Fisher over to the LT position and putting Stephenson in at RT which would basically give the two future bookends immediate experience and cohesiveness with the line as it stands.

Replacing a LG in 2014 is a much easier task than having Fisher try to learn the NFL speed at RT then shift him back over to the left side in 2014.

It should be this in 2013:
LT: Fisher
LG: Albert
C: Hudson
RG: Schwartz/Asamoah
RT: Stephenson

Then you can have either Allen or Reynolds (who I've always said would be a pretty damn good NFL LG) take the LG spot in 2014.
