Preseason Week 2 - What Do You Want to See?

1. Poe flash more signs of beastly behavior
2. Oline shows solid play against 49er Dline
3. Alex Smith throw the ball downfield to the WRs
4. A CB step up and cover someone
5. Knile Davis show he really is an NFL rb.

Why on earth would you want to see Daniel with the ones?

If you're going to keep him, give him a shot to earn his stripes. You can't call a guy dog shit based on the limited opportunities he was given under the Pioli regime. Bray would be fine on the Practice Squad. He'll easily clear waivers and he needs time. And given that I have no confidence at all in Chase Daniel right now, I'd rather Stanzi be the next in line in a pinch than Bray.
You're an idiot if you think Breast would clear waivers. I may have agreed with you pre camp, but now the secrets out. There has been more than enough buzz to ensure he'd be picked up somewhere.

I'm not a fan of Daniel. But right now, he's our backup behind a guy who's injury prone. You've got to see what we've got. Last week, he spent a lot of time running with the 2's against the Saints' 1's.

We have this same conversation every single year. The only buzz in camp is in Kansas City because we like the guy. Nobody outside of Kansas City is talking about Tyler Bray. Most teams at the end of the preseason will NOT be looking to add a QB after they spent a ton of sweat and tears trimming their roster to 53. If they do, there could be guys like Vick, Matt Scott, Dennis Dixon, Stephen McGee, Tyler Wilson, etc... on the market who will get first pick.

Again, Bray's play isn't surprising anyone. Everyone knew he could throw. He wasn't drafted because of his attitude. You think teams are completely changing their mind because he behaved for a month?

Less Ass Smith, less Chase Daniels, less Ricki Stanzi, more Tyler Bray.

Should have this as a competition for the #2 spot anyways.

Chase Daniels is a career backup who gives a **** about him? We need to groom a starter caliber quarterback.

If that's what you want to do, then just cut Ricky Stanzi now. If he's still around, the Chiefs probably still have plans for him. The other option is that you play Bray a few drives in the 3rd quarter and you let him try out for the #3 QB. If he impresses, then you put your foot on the ground and say he's your #3 guy and cut Stanzi. If he doesn't, then give Stanzi a lot of snaps.

Stanzi should either get a lot of snaps or none at all. And if he gets none at all, he should be out the door. It does us no good whatsoever to keep him on the roster and only play 1 or 2 drives.

Also... I'd rather Stanzi be the backup. Then again, Reid does well with backups so maybe there's something I don't see. If Daniel is for sure the backup, then it is what it is. We have to groom him because he's going to really important. Because if ALex Smith goes down for a few games, Bray isn't the go-to guy much as we want him to be. It has to be Chase and he has to be ready to play.

No I'd rather cut Chase Daniels because I don't see any upside with him. Then let Bray and Stanzi compete for #2 by rotating them. Perfect scenario let each of them run with the #ones a series. **** Chase Daniels. Also keep a stern eye on the waver wire.

I'm not a fan of Chase Daniels. But he signed for 3 years $9M. He's not going anywhere. I'll just have to trust that Reid knows what he's doing here. He's made some seemingly born losers pretty decent backups.

Who cares about decent backups? We need groom starters that is the problem with Chase Daniels he is just a career back up. Wouldn't build a team around him. He will never be a franchise quarterback. Hard pressed for Ricky Stanzi at this point but I'd like to see him get more of a chance than Chase and I think Bray can leap over Stanzi.

I think Chase Daniels is a total waste of time and roster spot. Heh unless we didn't have to spend two 2nd round picks on Alex Smith and drafted a guy instead then maybe I would have accepted a competition with Chase Daniels and a rookie quarterback? I wouldn't expect much from Chase then either but we could keep our draft picks to help snag a QB in next years draft with.

Continued execution like the first series' in the NO game, spread through the entire quarter, with the WRs being included in the offense, and perhaps a bit of pressure from the defense. And no injuries.
