Hopefully it's just system.

As good as Harbaugh is as a coach, his offensive systems aren't the most wr friendly.

Just heard 49ers "insider" Matt Barrows on the radio discussing Jenkins.

He said Baalke traded Jenkins because the coaches demanded it. He said Jenkins had to go because of bad work ethic and just not taking things seriously and no motivation. He said he thinks it could have been a locker-room cancer to keep him as the 5th or 6th WR, when much harder working guys got cut. As if the veterans might be upset over keeping a guy who won't work hard.

He mentioned a sideline shot during the KC SF game where Jenkins was joking with the other WRs and they were having none of it. Shut him down. Just completely ignored him. Nobody wanted him there from his coaches to the other WRs.

Barrows repeated about some guys being the first in the door every morning (Kaepernick) and made it sound like Jenkins was the last to come in each day and the first to leave. He talked about guys staying late and working round the clock, making it sound like Jenkins did not put in any extra effort.

He talked about Harbaugh's continued praise of Quinton Patton and Patton's drive and dedication and motivation. The implication is Jenkins is the opposite.

Bottom line, he made it sound like Jenkins was just very lazy with no dedication and no desire to learn his craft or develop his skills.

If the Chiefs can fix that, the performance will come. Frankly, I don't believe it is fixable. Guys have it or don't. You can't coach self-motivation or work ethic any more than you can make a short-haired chic grow her hair out long, or get a chic that wears sweats to bed to start wearing lingerie. It is either there from the start, or it isn't.

Maybe this is a wake up call. Chiefs can only hope.
Cool - good insights. My hope is just that if the Chiefs get him in the building and it looks like he's not going to turn things around, they just drop him. They were probably close to doing so with Baldwin, so I'd hate to have the guy end up making the team on a hope and a dream if he's going to just piss all his teammates off.

Well, interesting. Baldwin supposedly worked hard but was turriblez. Jenkins was/is turriblez and doesn't work hard.

That was a knock early on...but everyone was saying how hard he was working this off-season. At least until I saw that report just recently. So I dunno.

I find the new depth chart kind of interesting. Wylie and McCluster as the #1 sub on both sides, when they are actually slot.

That makes Hemingway the top sub for Bowe and AJ is starting as the top sub for Avery.

If Avery does not work out as the #2 guy opposite Bowe, who gets the chance to at that spot? Hemingway (Mr. 7th round)? or AJ (Mr.1st round)?
wow ... Wylie and McCluster 2nd string

do our WR's suck major ass or what

That graph is false from the start. It's more like 8 games to 11 games..because let's face it, Alex played 1 qtr in that last game.

Also, you're going to tell me that Crabs didn't get better while playing with Alex? I didn't bring Kaep into this..you did But if you want to make that arguement, then you have to deal with the fact that VD got worse when Alex left.

And let's look at other WR's stats while we're at it....Not just Crabtree who was Kaep's favorite target.

Is Baldwin the worst Chiefs draft pick ever? Possibly, though he's definitely top 3.

Man Jake, you have got to stop with this clown. he doesn't understand football. All his knowledge is off of other websites. He doesn't have a free thinking brain cell in his body. He doesn't know football. He is obsessed with the deep ball. Do yourself a favor. Ignore it.
