Brees was a total piece of shit before the Chargers drafted Rivers. He couldn't beat Doug Flutie for the starting job and he couldn't hit a receiver to save his life.
Try to imagine Cassel winning a SB with the Vikings and it still won't compare to the disappointment Brees was. He played worse as a Charger than Cassel did as a Chief.

BTW - The Chargers got "close" a few times but Marty ****ed up then the NFL got all bitchy on Merriman for using roids.

The League is fixed anyway... I mean, Eli Manning... 2 SBs?... Bullshit...
