It's on now. Geno Smith is probably going to be starting for the Jets this season.

Alex Smith will be the Chiefs QB for the forseeable future. If he's a success, we'll probably get five good years out of him.

So who's gonna win more NFL games over that time period?

Alvin Harper was a complete disappointment after he left Dallas, and Novacek was nothing before he got to Dallas.

The tide turned when the 49ers traded Charles Haley to Dallas after 1991. What followed were Dallas back-to-back super bowl wins in 1992 and 1993.

Charles Haley was the missing link that completed the Dallas Cowboys. His absence from the 49ers pass rush doubled the impact. The 49ers no longer had a dominant pass rush, and the Cowboys got one.

I remain convinced that the Steve Young would have 3 super bowl rings if George Siefert had not traded away Haley, and Aikman, Emmit and the Cowboys would be an afterthought with just 1 super bowl win in the 90s.

It was a different era. The Cowboys had the best run blocking line in history. Like

People are young or just don't remember the pre wing-it-out 4000 yards per game passing era.

All the Cowboys did all 4th quarter was pound Emmit Smith up the middle. Pretty tough to get TDs and passing yards when you are running out the clock on another win.

I hate Aikman's guts, can't stand him as an analyst, but I am forced to give credit where due.

Remember he lost his finger. Or part of it. That was not the case for most years in Dallas. Makes it much harder to catch.

Dane. I know hes not ready to start. Everyone except JOHN IDZIK (jets gm with a hard on for him) knows he isn't ready to start. Unfortunately, Rex, Idzik, someone messed up and got Mark Sanchez killed last night, and because of that, Geno is going to get destroyed because his oline is garbage, and he has no receivers......Gonna be a rough rookie year for Geno......Doesn't mean hes trash.

Aikman might of been the most accurate qb in the history of the game.

He didn't have to put up elite numbers because his team was elite, but he could win games if he needed to. But having that Oline, and Emmitt Smith is a nice problem to have.
