You're basing everything on a compliment a QBs coach made about his guy. Because QB coaches have a history of saying bad things about their players. I'm actually not sure why I said I never spoke badly about OSU players. I can't remember the last OSU player I pimped out. I don't think any recently.

I will say this. It does look like he fixed his mechanics. Good for him. Maybe he has changed his behavior. Good for him. But sorry, when it comes to attitude adjustments, I've been consistently tough on players. I've been critical of Bray's attitude too and have laughed at Chiefs' fans who claim he's a changed man because coaches have talked nicely about him. So let's not pretend I'm talking about a double standard.

Pryor looked very, very sharp against Chicago. But I need to see more to believe it. What I saw in OSU is he couldn't read defenses, stared down his first read, had a knack for mind-numbingly bad decisions especially when he starts throwing on the run or tries to make cross-body throws or make the impossible happen, he tends to take off at the first sign of duress, and he was an absolute mechanical nightmare when moving around and I sense that will come out once defenses start throwing things at him. And when things go bad, and in the NFL, things can get frustratingly bad real quick... is he going to be the spoiled, pouty guy he was at OSU? We'll see. For now, I say "yes."

If he figures it out, yes, he could be a scary player. Defenses will eventually scheme him. To me, that's when we figure out if Pryor has changed. For now, good for him for earning a starting job. But it's going to take more than preseason games against 2nd and 3rd team defenses to prove he's changed.

Well, no, that was just the first thing that came up when I googled terrelle pryor and work ethic. I've heard that said repeatedly about him that he's a hard worker. And you have to admit, that's not a cursory "player x is a solid prospect for us." The guy goes out of his way to praise him and the work he's doing. Also, just looked at it again, and that praise was from last year.

From this year:

"During the offseason, Pryor took it upon himself to keep improving by hiring three personal QB coaches to help him work on his mechanics. Included in the trio was Tom House, a former pitcher turned QB throwing coach who has worked with many NFL quarterbacks, including Tom Brady."

And from a Bill Williamson article on espn: Allen said Pryor is one of the team’s hardest workers and that his work ethic has exceeded Allen's expectations.

As for the rest of your response, now you're talking. Before that, I was starting to wonder if you were just parroting some hackneyed stereotype bullshit about black quarterback = dumb and lazy. Didn't get to see him much in OSU so all I know is that he won a lot and then had a scandal. I think his interception in the first preseason game came from a cross-body throw through like you mentioned so that'll be interesting to see if that's just a bad habit he needs to break.

I fully expect him to struggle, but I think he'll be exciting as hell to watch just from what I've seen so far. Definitely pulling for him now and hoping Bray can turn out similarly.
