Our running game certainly looks improved.

To me, the whole preseason was a dumpster fire outside one TD drive and some decent defense (which was awful against the Steelers), so whatever. Homer on.

Yes, holding the Steelers to a field goal.

That's... that's a terrible defense.

We gave up like 200 yards, and they were within a bobble of putting up 17 points pretty easily.

That was not an impressive defensive performance, homer. Wide open receivers EVERYWHERE.

Awww, cry some more because we didn't put 50 pts up against 2 of the best defenses in the league.

The defense and special teams were a dumpster fire?

With each successive post, you prove that you know little to nothing about NFL football.

The special teams were very good.

Rest of the team...meh.

Seeing our first team offense get worked by the 49ers (and their backups) and Steelers, outside of one drive, was disgusting.

Defense was good against San Francisco's backups, and shit against Pitt's starters.

Dude, you're being intellectually dishonest.

The defense looked excellent. Defenses are going to give up points in the National Football League. That's a given. But to hold Pittsburgh's ones, in Pittsburgh, to 10 points, especially after the Andy Reid "Gimme" was impressive.

The Chiefs Two's beat Pittsburgh's Two's. For all of the Chase Daniel "hate", he beat Gradkowski, who's been a starter in this league. Again, impressive.

Special Teams have been extremely impressive. If this continues into the regular season, they'll be a factor in every game and might be the difference between winning and losing many games. A short field always helps the offense.

And finally, you can bitch and moan all you want about Alex Smith not throwing down the field, which is a given. But he was accurate, mistake-free and led the offense to touchdowns, at home and on the road, without the benefit of a strong running game or circus catches by his receivers.

I'd say you are.

Offensively, there was nothing to like, apart from one drive.

And in our ONLY test against a team's starting offense, the secondary was a dumpster fire.

Seeing that Alex can actually lead a TD drive was nice, though. So, 7-9, perhaps.

Yeah but its hard on secondarys when you have a QB like Ben that can extend plays. He did that a few times on us. He was playing well. I'm not saying it will be perfect, but we'll be fine on D i believe

Come on, Dane......Smith did throw for 3000 yard and 27 TD's against 2 playoff teams and the defense allowed the other teams to score regardless of how little.

That's a clear fail

I rarely comment and have been around a long time - but your ENDLESS trolling and negativity are just plain sickening. I find myself wondering what could have happened in your life to make you so, so boundlessly negative about virtually everything.

Why not try - just try - to look to the positive first - instead of the negative - you might find the days to be a bit more enjoyable - and you might find trolling as boring as many of the rest of us.

I think the typical response to this is... "the Chiefs have sucked forever! so why should any of us have any belief that something will change?!?"
