Ok guys, had a conversation with my wife this morning that got my blood boiling. I think I need some blood pressure meds right now. Anyhow, so last Friday night, my 9 yo daughter was invited to a sleep over with some friends from her dance studio. They are all about the same age. The mother hosting the event is fairly involved in the dance studio functions. During the sleepover, the mover had a couple of girl friends over and they had some drinks and did jello shots. I know this because the dumbass posted it on facebook. Here's the bad part. They offered a jello shot to the girls. My daughter says MOST of them, including her didn't want one, but I'm just finding out about this incident this morning, and I'm ****ing livid. I went on her facebook, but decided I didn't want to piss my wife off and make my life hell, so I didn't try to "friend" her or message her in any way. My wife insists that she is going to talk to the dance studio about it, but is asking for me to not get involved. This is the type of behavior that turns little girls into pole dancing sluts. Sounds like in about 5 years there will be some teen moms and late twenty/early thirty grandmothers stemming from that dance class.

I saw this going there. If people don't know me, I'd piss off a lot of parents too. I frequently offer little kids beer out at the ballpark but it's usually in front of their parents and everybody understands that I'm joking... except for the kids. It's easy for kids to misunderstand an adult's intentions. I'm not saying that's what happened here but I think it's possible. But I don't know any of the people involved except your wife and daughter and honestly, I think your daughter looks a lot like me.

Seriously, just shut the **** up. He had the conversations that needed to be had, the people involved know what they did was wrong (even if they won't admit it), and nobody was actually hurt in the end. His daughter seems to be a very well adjusted young lady and did the right thing when confronted with a choice to make. Congratulate her and move on.

Soooo, wife talks to shit mother. Shit mother confesses that she said she offered them a drink but it was a joke. Shit mother tells a few other moms that my wife and daughter are making shit up. I try to contact shit mother to fact find. She gives me her husbands number and says to talk to him. I call him. She starts on about how I need to lighten up and she's a nurse and knows what is and isn't dangerous for kids. Wow. You are a ****ing nurse? Holy shit, I tell her, that's about a quarter of the curriculum I took, how naive of me. What a Chunt. Anyhoo, an hour after getting this idiot to talk circles around herself, I told her thanks for taking the time to talk to me and I would assume that from here on, it is put to rest.

I'm sure these bitches will chastise my wife and daughter from here on out. Please feel free to hack her Facebook page and photoshop her with a goat head or jelly donut.

Lesson learned? Next time just tell my daughter that she did the right thing and not allow her over there anymore and leave it at that.

Joking and even in front of the parents, it's still in bad taste. We don't like our kids around others and alcohol. And if u offered one just joking, we'd smile it off, but wouldn't think too highly of the gesture.

For them to even have jello shots around a kids slumber party is all kinds of fudged up. Studio or not, I'm probably the most apathetic guy ever but police would probably be involved just even if it's paybacks for her naive stupidity.

She won't do that shit again.

The dance studio would just have to hate me.

You raise a fine point but you don't play the same amount of ball I play. If a parent is particular about having their kids around beer, they won't bring their kid to a drinking league or tournament. I say that kind of silly shit to people I know, generally. I'm full of saying things in bad taste. Nobody is mad at me for it. If they are, that's their problem. Too many uptight people in the world. Everybody is looking for new, innovative ways to justify their anger. I don't want to live in that world...

Not about being angry with the world. It's about being aware of others beliefs and values and not everyone is as understanding of things that may seem so trivial to you.

I had to learn long ago that all people smiling AT you aren't necessarily smiling WITH you.

Yeah, I'm sure the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Honestly though, my daughter told me two of the girls actually tried the shots. She does sort of resemble you. As her boobs fill out it'll be scary close

You know I think you're a well-grounded guy and a great parent. I'm not disagreeing in principle, I'm just saying that I'm not running around trying to hurt everybody's feelings. If I'm being edgy, it's to provide levity or make a point. Sometimes it's for my own selfish entertainment value. I hope I'm not pissing people off in the manner you describe.
