Bills/ Bengals [cancelled - process in OP]

In case anyone needs it spelled out, we would play at a neutral site if the AFCCG ends up being Chiefs vs. Bills. All other scenarios abide by the usual rules (so any other game the Chiefs play will be at home).

The national media would run wild if BUF recieved a forfeit for this game. I don't see it happening, but I don't disagree with you either.

You can't move the entire playoffs back for one ****ing game that could've been played today or tomorrow.

Amazing how people can say the logistics to resume the game this week were too difficult, but don't want to acknowledge the logistics of moving the playoffs back a week.

Yes you can, if the NFL chooses to do so.

And that would be reeruned just like your suggestion that they do so.

The NFL makes terrible decisions all the time so it wouldn't surprise me.

Yes, and the pandemic affected ALL PARTIES, not just two teams and associative playoff implications for a few others. Much easier to implement short term solutions when EVERYONE is directly impacted/affected, regardless of factors. That's most definitely not the case here.

The amount of $ involved here is staggering. The logistics are staggering. Making the wrong decision could very well end up costing the league a tremendous amount of money. Risk analysis and avoidance = NFL's apparent paralysis in this scenario. It's not a surprise... this is an extremely rare occurrence with massive implications.

I just saw a quote from Zac Taylor saying (paraphrasing here) -"When you can see the expression on the faces on the field its different".

Sorry if I find it hard to believe life long jocks who grew up in locker rooms and spent all their time in a violent sport suddenly just became too sensitive to handle some adversity to the point they cant even bring themselves to play or God forbid travel back to Cincy. Yea we understand its a shithole in general but lets not get stupid.
Compared to Buffalo, Cincy is a Sandals resort in the Caribbean.

They're mostly kids in their 20s, all of whom grew up in this abominable touchy-feely social media age. I think they're just programmed to react this way now, and even the ones who aren't know what will happen if they dare to disagree. And of course the league is now completely tethered to this bullshit as well, and they are clearly terrified of doing anything that will piss off the raving masses.

It's astonishing the BS excuses some of you are willing to come up with.
And it's astonishing how much you act like very challenging decisions should be no big deal. You're talking about probably 1500-2000 total workers involved in this. Alcohol delivery. Food delivery. Custodial staff. Police. Emergency medical. The Bills would need to launder all of the uniforms outside of their normal facility. The grounds crew needs to re-inspect the field and possibly make repairs. Most refs have day jobs that they'd have to reschedule around. Charter airlines don't let their planes sit around, so even getting the Bills back there could be a challenge.

I'm not saying it's impossible, and I certainly think it could happen with a few days to work it out. But you act like every single aspect of this is as clear as day and it should have been no big deal to play the game the next day. It takes a LOT of work to put on a sports event.

So the entire league should be disrupted because the NFL is too gutless to make what at this point is the most fair decision and give Buffalo the loss/forfeit for the Cincy game?
