He didn't quit.

He got uppity and the NE coaching staff started to work him out of the playbook so they could deal him without impacting their offense too greatly.

And if he quit? Oh well, I'll take his performance as a quitter over Chambers/Copper. For as 'awful' as Moss has been this year, he still has 5 TDs and probably the best TD catch you'll see all season (if not him, Moeaki).

He fits our weaknesses too well to not consider him. Teams bring in good character guys for more than convenience. They bring in good character guys to build a solid foundation. With a foundation in place, you can bring in a handful of guys like Randy Moss or Shaun Smith because you know you have 50 other guys in that locker room you can count on to keep them in line.

Character guys impact more than just themselves and passing on the occasional headcase talent like Moss in the name of preserving 'team character' fails to utilize one of the key advantages of having that character - the ability to carry a talented malcontent or two.

Just signing him makes mccluster a better WR. He makes this whole offense better. He can catch Cassels overthrows and opens up underneath routes for dmc moeaki and our rbs.

This is why Haley's new strategy of winning games is worthless. If the Chiefs were playing the way they did last year, we'd have a clean shot at Moss!

How did he quit on the Vikings? It looked to me like the Pats had him doubled all the time yesterday. From what Moss said, the Vikings didn't pay him any attention when he tried to help game plan. It's not his fault Childress is half a reerun.

He has the ability to do those things. Doesn't mean he actually will.

****ing hell. Just think about how big the holes would be for Charles and Jones. Just think about the single coverages that Bowe and Moeaki would pull.

Randy Moss would negate the shit play of Matt Cassel. We are instant contenders for the AFC Championship with a legit downfield threat.

I mean ****, do some of you ****s hate the idea of us going to the SuperBowl?

The bigger story to me is why New England traded him. Quitting on Minnesota can easily be explained by pouting. But Moss makes it sound like he really liked playing in New England, and it's not like going to the Raiders where he had no shot at winning.

What does Randy Moss want? Does he want a ring? A big payday? Gaudy stats? Being with friends? That seems to be the factor in whether he's productive. The Chiefs can offer #4. Maybe #1 if he's here. Probably not #2 and #3.

I'd take Moss here, he'd fill the exact thing this team needs on the outside.

And Rainman no matter what he gets the money he has left on his contract so I doubt payday plays that much into where he's going for the rest of this year.

Rivers to Moss is pretty much terrifying.

But as usual, only a matter time before he would quit on them too.

No he'd give up on Cassel underthrows and use cuss words in the locker room.

Can anyone elaborate the waiver process?

Does he have to sign with the lowest team to offer him a contract?
