Donaldson>Moustakas

And it's not even close.

Last night I was watching Hockey Night In Canada with Don Cherry and Ron Maclean; Don Cherry expressed a valid point in that there is an injustice going on with respect to selecting all-stars.

He pointed out that Moustakas is in the lead because it's the people in Kansas City that are giving him a gazillion votes, meanwhile, Donaldson is top 10 in the majors in RBIs, HRs, doubles, runs scored and in slugging percentage.

Fielding wise, Moustakas couldn't hold Donaldsons jock. Now is this deserving that Moustakas deserves to be ahead of Donaldson in voting when Donaldson outclasses him defensively and in a helluva lot of statistical categories.

Guys, you know this system is ****ing bullsh*t okay? Donaldson is the better player and deserves to be in there over Moustakas. You guys are voting him in there because he is your boy. This voting system on choosing all-stars is a reflection of extreme biases and favoritism. The people of Kansas City blew that out of proportion. It's just so unfair.

*Go ahead and flame away. I'm confident my point stands strong

Care to use actual Statistics in this argument or will you continue with blanket statements like this?

Remember when Donaldson made that great play at 3rd, robbing Salvy of a game-winning hit in the WC game? That was awesome.

OP MUST be searching for stats to say Donaldson is a better fielder. Not sure they exist.

Sometimes it seems like voting for the All-Star game is just a popularity contest.

Utterly idiotic.

Donaldson is 62% better than league average and creates 30% more runs than Moustakas. He has twice the isolated power, and is hitting for the same average despite a BABIP that is 15 points lower than Moustakas' unsustainable .344 (and it's unsustainable due to the increase in his GB rate).

The offensive difference between Donaldson and Moustakas is equivalent to the offensive difference between Moustakas and Brett Lawrie.

Rios, Morales, Infante, dont deserve to even sniff an ASG appearance.

Moose and Hosmer don't deserve it over Donaldson and Cabrera.

However Gordon, Cain, Perez, Escobar are all players who are the best at their position. Who said that allstar selections were only warranted if you had the leagues best offensive numbers? There's no other LF or CF I'd rather have in the game playing defense than Gordon or Cain. Same goes w/ Escobar at SS or Perez behind the plate. Those guys are legit.

Davis and Holland are also deserving. That's 6 players who are deserving. I'm not sure what the Royals are supposed to do...hate the voting process not the players who are in it. If people don't like it get out and vote against them I guess. I'm sure they'll change the rules after this season.

I like to look at it as, the Royals get to play for their HFA in the World Series.

The butt hurt is strong in this one. News flash: the best players never seem to start the All-Star game besides the few elites: Trout, Harper, Stanton..
