Here's a head start on the thread of the most grueling test of golf in the world. Winged Foot is a beast, it could be like watching

thrown amongst a pack of coyotes and pent-up Kansas wheat farmers.

One more thought--If I ever build a golf course, I think I should name it Clubbed Foot.

That's the way they had to make them in the 20's so that they would drain the water off. I like old courses like this--they have a lot more character than a lot of the newer yuppie layouts.

Almost had a Roy McAvoy scene there from Tin Cup. That green is brutal. I'd just go ahead and whack it past the hole, even if it carried all the way into the rough.

Some of these shots remind me of the 9 I played this morning. Hitting irons into little postage stamp greens that would bound off the edge and end up 20 yards left.
