Should I be happy Kietzman was fired? Yes, it's me.

I have mixed emotions about KK getting canned. It should've happened years ago. But I'm not convinced this incident deserved a firing.

Scale of 1 to 10, how pleased should I be?

For 20 years, KK got away with all sorts of underhanded bulls*t. Took two decades for karma to catch him.

Go Chiefs!

And what's more important than the Chiefs winning a Super Bowl?

Hopefully, we'll get someone who only licks the team's balls.
You can read worse things on here about players and staff after a loss.

Yes, he deserved to be fired. You can't continually make comments of that gravity without eventually having to face the repercussions. He clearly stepped out of bounds one too many times. He should have been fired 6 years ago. He bashed Reid's hiring. He bashed the trade for Alex Smith. He bashed the hiring of Spagnuolo. Etc. Every big thing that happens with the Chiefs, he takes it upon himself to make an extremely critical statement against it. Have we all agreed with him on most things? Yes. The fact is though, he uses language and metaphors not fit for his position. This one, was absolutely uncalled for, as it was at Reid's hire.

I'll tell you another person (other than Reid or Chiefs brass) who's sitting back in his chair laughing maniacally after all of this is Bill Self.

What's the story between Self and Keitzman? Has it been a thing for a long time or did something happen more recently like commentary about the college basketball scandal involving Nike?

It's probably true (not just of Self), but I can see why Self would take offense.

To answer the question at hand:
No, you shouldn't feel happy about it, nor should you feel sad. People usually reap what they sow.

KK has always (obviously) disliked KU, but back to the incident with Josh Jackson kicking a woman's car, the Star and KK tried their best to make something out of nothing. KK blatantly took the side of the girl's father (obviously another biased point of view) without considering any other opinions, and dragged out the scandal for weeks after the news cycle had already ended, including the opinion that it was a Title IX violation and the university itself should be opened for investigation.

It was exactly like the Hill situation, with him exaggerating and twisting facts, and trying to use his spot in the media to cause such a ruckus to get people fired/suspended.

And then repeatedly re-references as his shining piece of imaginary evidence where KU is the devil within every bit of Jayhawk discussion he sees fit.

He creates a false narrative then uses as fact for future conversation. That's just one item. His body of work is a minefield of phantasmic theses. He loved that Bill Self is some sort of playboy away from the home, and cannot believe KU would put up with our own version of Larry Eustachy.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I don't remember much of KK doing that because I don't listen to him much, but I know the KC Star did that. Was that Brooke Pryor at the star back then?

The Star did it initially, and I believe they had a week where they released one fact every day in attempt to keep it in the news. KK made it his main story while it was going on (during the tournament), and then kept on it (IIRC) until Jackson was drafted.

It was not Brooke at the Star, but another female that was quickly hated by the fanbase - Laura Bauer. The Star is still hated by a significant chunk of KU fans for the way they seemingly tried to create a lynch mob out of nothing.

It's amusing that the KU Star managed to make a large number of KU fans hate it, despite decades of pro-KU coverage of basically everything.
