Do twice baked potatoes instead. Bake large potatoes, cut in half lengthwise and hollow out like canoes, make high end (tons of add-ins) mashed potatoes out of what you carved out, fill the hollowed out potato canoes with that, put cheese and bacon on top and bake again until the cheese is melted, top with green onions and sour cream. |

Fair question... I guess for me, not having any family, if I'm going to go into a caloric coma, its going to be tacos and/or nachos If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, and can make it out, I'd cook ![]() |

Sometimes I do this with the leftovers. In a 9x5 loaf pan I layer, turkey, gravy, stuffing, gravy, top with mashed potatoes. Wrap it in foil and throw in the freezer. Makes a nice leftover meal some cold February weekend.

One a side note. If you're looking for one more dish to fill out that feast you have planned. This is super simple to make and tastes really good. Cream Corn Recipe 8 ears of corn (Frozen corn will also work if ears unavailable.) 2 red bell peppers diced 2 jalapeños diced 1 cup of heavy cream Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper 1 stick salted butter, cut into pieces 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees slice the corn off cob in large deep bowl. Turn knife dull side down and scrape the cob to remove all the bits of kernel and the creamy milk. 2. Add the red bell peppers, jalapeños, heavy cream, 2 teaspoons salt, a generous amount of pepper and the butter, mix well. Pour into a 9 by 13" baking dish. Bake until hot and bubbly, 45 to 55 minutes.
