Chiefs & Pats Ask to Talk W/McDaniels

Apparently the Chiefs and Patriots asked the Rams permission to talk to McDaniels according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

Let the games begin.

HIs strength is fine, it's just that he has to wind up to throw it that far. Throws off his accuracy.

Cassel is good enough that when his running game is going good and the defense is playing well he can beat equally bad teams.

How many good teams did he have good games against? Not beat, but have good games agaisnt?

His arm is not even average.

He has to put everything into a 15 yard throw when a qb with "good arm strength" (like Stanzi) can throw 15-20 yards with just a little flick of the wrist and trusts in his mechanics to be accurate.

For Cassel to complete those passes, his target has to be wide open and he has to have a perfectly clean pocket.

The moment everything isn't perfect, pee runs down his leg.

Seattle maybe?
He'd have to challenge, but Miami, Cleveland, Arizona, Jax, most of these teams wouldn't because of how much they've already invested in QB, but Cassel would probably be the best QB on those teams roster. Heck, he'd be the best QB on the Broncos.

He's not better than Moore or Kolb IMO maybe equal but no way is he better.

The only reason he would start anywhere is if that team had aboslute shit at qb.

The dude is terrible. There is a reason he has been a backup everywhere he has played. It's not a coincedence that Orton made the offense look 10 times better.

His mechanics are shit, his mental game is shit, his arm strength is shit.

The only thing to like about the guy is that he is a good leader. Or so we are told.

I'm not even an Iowa fan but Stanzi has shown more to playing hte position of qb than Cassel has.

People underrate Moore so much.

He's at least Orton level.

Goodbye Josh from the Stl. Pats move fast on McDaniels. Rams signed permission form only 1 hour ago. Kansas City yet to request permission.

I'm not really disagreeing with you. Actually you're right. I don't want Cassel.
I'm just saying, he's got a better track record than several QBs starting, and would probably get the nod over players like Moore and Kolb.

I'd love to see Stanzi in a real game, and I'd love to see a QB drafted this year, although with all the QBs returning to college, I think Stanzi is probably as good as anywe'd get after the top QB's are gone.

It just sucks that this roster is gonna be sb ready in the next 4 or 5 years and we don't have a qb that can do it for us.

I know. With a good QB this team is far and away the best in the division.

This.

It's why I'm banging the Luck drum as hard as I can.

Hopefully the people at 1 Arrowhead drive can hear it from here.

I have a feeling we're not going to request it.

Hopefully the next HC hires someone good, because I don't need another year of Muir. And we better not be promoting Zorn...
