Of course you'd still have Andy/Mahomes, but I said the same level of success that we've had. If you think Andy and Pat are the sole reason we've had THIS level of succes, you're completely ignoring Veach's contributions.
Not sure why the Belichick thing needs to be addressed further. He had greater success than what we've enjoyed these last several years and he did it TWICE.

He is legitimately the last one you should be arguing with me about given the fact that he's actually achieved heights greater than what we're discussing.

Quote:
Baalke took Travon Walker over the consensus and very obvious best player in the draft in Hutchinson. Considering the Jags pass rush is a huge issue, that's a firable offense. That team hasn't gotten any better since last season. What a joke.
We going to start firing dudes for one bad draft pick? If that's the case then Veach would have been canned after 2018 because that entire draft was booty cheeks.

They have regressed thus far but it isn't due to Baalke. He added Ridley, who looks great and now they're loaded on offense. The defense should be ascending as they've got some good, young pieces.

Quote:
Jerry Jones is a ****ing owner. Do you honestly believe it's him finding guys like Tony Pollard? that's also ignoring the fact that the Cowboys haven't won anything of significance in a very long time.
Ummmm, yes..? Lol. Is he not the Owner/President/GM?

Dude consistently built some of the most talented teams of the 90s, 00s, and 10s. Here we are in the 20s and their roster is once again stacked.

Reid-Mahomes would put that team over the hump.

Quote:
Lynch and the 49ers like the Jags had multiple years with top 5 picks. If you simply take Nick Bosa off that team, they're nowhere near as good. Veach has never draft earlier than like 29

That's without mentioning arguably the worst trade up for a QB in NFL history.
This is your only decent argument, but Lynch has done an incredible job outside of the top of the 1st round so it takes a lot of bite out of what you're saying. Kittle, Aiyuk, CMC, Greenlaw, Fred Warner, Deebo, Trent Williams, Charvarius Ward, Jimmy G, and Hufanga were all picked outside of the top 15 or key FA acquisitions/trades.

That's not even including Purdy who may end up being the best and most important pick of all in the 7th round.

Quote:
You're competlely ignorant as to just how good Veach is if you think we have the same level of success with any of these guys. Where exactly do you think he ranks among the GMs of the NFL?
I'd think you could put Veach anywhere in the top 3 and I wouldn't fight about it. I'd lean toward throwing Roseman in the #1 spot though.

Interrupting the GM dick measuring contest to wonder how our tackles back-up’s back-up would perform if called upon? With Prince Tega out on IR, will Niang be the swing tackle? I’m guessing Thuney would kick out if Smith went out and Niang would be the backup RT?

"Not sure why the Belichick thing needs to be addressed further"

Because you're ****ing absolutely clueless. Belichick the GM is ****ing terrible and he's exactly the reason why that roster is complete and utter shit at this point. He can't even build a competitive roster with a QB on a rookie ****ing deal. But sure, I bet he could've rebuilt our defense (twice), OL, etc. like Veach has done the last 5 years.

There's just no way you could look at his draft history over the last 5-8 years and tell me that we'd have the same exact success with him as GM as we have with Veach, who's become one of the best drafters in the league.

Belichick the GM was ****ing reeruned enough to sign JuJu to a similar deal that Jacobi Meyers got, whom he let walk. He gave JuJu that deal knowing the issue with his knee. Veach would never.

Belichick had the success he had because of Tom Brady and the fact that he's a defensive wizard. His ability or lack thereof to find talent would be on full display if he's not coaching the defense too.

Baalke didn't just **** up a draft pick. We're talking about the 1st overall pick. GMs get fired eventually for blowing the 1st overall pick all the time. I'm not saying he should be fired for it today. I'm saying it could eventually get him fired. It happens all the ****ing time dumbass.

Jerry Jones is not a ****ing scout. He's not the guy that found Tony Pollard you buffoon. He listens to his asvisors and the guys that do the leg work. That's it. I'm pretty sure his son has more say than he does these days.

John Lynch is probably the most overrated GM in the NFL at this point. He's not bad, but nowhere near Veach and Roseman. He also gets to be in the NFC where there are like 2-3 legit contenders. They would jot have the same level of success they've had in the AFC.

And forgot to mention with Baalke, he's another one that has a QB on a rookie deal, and he's wasting valuable time.

I don't care if they added Ridely. That team has shown the first 3 weeks that they haven't improved much, if at all. That's disasterous considering where they are right now with Trevor.

Veach is over here with a huge QB contract having better offseasons than guys like that who are also picking earlier than he is.

And you think they can just come in and have the same exact level of success here? Just ridiculous. Football is a game of inches, and that goes for off the field and in the FO too. Yes, Andy and Pat are great, but you can't just plug in 8 different GMs and have the same success we've had. Do you honestly think these guys could've rebuilt the defense (twice), OL, etc. like he has? Do you think they could've traded Tyreek and had a draft like he did? If you honestly believe that, you're reeruned.

Do you believe Veach could've failed the draft last year and the Chiefs still win the SB?

Obviously not.

Is there any reason to believe Belichick is capable of having a draft like that at this point of his career?

Obviously not.

Again, Veach correctly identified McDuffie as a player with a 1st round grade inexplicably falling out of the group of 1st round grades, and went up to get him. Belichick is the guy who traded out of that spot to reach for a ****ing G that most had going on day 3. He's terrible at this.

To say we could've had the same exact level of success with any of these guys is downplaying the role of GM. This shit ain't ****ing easy dude, even with Pat and Andy. Pat gets hurt, Andy has his warts, and it's really ****ing hard to get to the AFCCG 5 years in a row.

Pat and Andy are more important to getting to said AFCCG's than the GM. It's ok to admit that.

Speaking of Veach's drafting abilities... which of these rookies is gonna show us something by end of year?

Rice might already be our most trustworthy WR, how about the others?

I already did you ****ing moron.

The argument is whether or not you can go back and replace Veach with guys like Belichick, Jerry Jones, etc. and still have 5 straight AFCCGs, 3 SBs, 2 rings, etc.

Catch up.

“Belichick did it in New England. Why not here? He’s got the coach and QB!”

Because he has an atrocious drafting record and a personality that does not gel with Andy very well. Andy says, “Just get the damn work done and show your personality all you want.” Belichick don’t like that.

I don’t know if ThaVirus has been a part of the bitch brigade when it comes to our WRs in recent weeks, but if he is, I can’t imagine he’d still be saying we could have won two Super Bowls with N’Keal Harry and Jakobi Meyers.

No, Belichick as GM would not be winning Super Bowls with us.

Pat is mroe important that Travis Kelce.

That doesn't mean that you can replace Travis Kelce with 6-8 different TEs and have the same level of success we've had.

So are you implying that Veach is one of the best GM's of all time?

The team would be exactly the same if you took Trent McDuffie off and put Cole Strange on the roster!

People think they're disappointed with Skyy Moore.

Imagine if we drafted Tyquan Thornton...
