Exactly. It makes no sense to rest Mahomes and then need him to play in an extra playoff game. Get the #1 seed and then let off the gas. If they don't get the #1 seed, it's going to be a much tougher road.

So you hold him out for a game or two and risk not getting the #1 seed

play him and risk making it worse and not having him for the playoffs

The line is trash. Everybody agrees. People are worried every week that he's gonna die in the field.

So yeah, lose the #1 seed and subject Mahomes to an extra game of constant hits. Sounds like a good way to not make the Super Bowl at all.

Right. There's a much greater chance Wentz implodes than plays well. It's like people have forgotten how ****ing bad he was for the past few years.

Actually think this injury may be a good thing for Patrick. In 2022 the ankle injury forced him to stay in the pocket and be more precise. More of a pocket passer per se.

That could help substantially

I thought I heard on the radio it was a mild high ankle sprain… If that’s the case, I’m sure he will play.. Hell, a few weeks ago they were trying to carry him off the field and then all of a sudden he’s running and playing the rest of the game..

Okay but say you play him on Saturday and not only do we lose but he hurts his ankle worse? Now not only do we probably not get the #1 seed but we don't have him for the playoffs either.

And if Mahomes aggravates his injury and/or is not able to effectively scramble and avoid pressure against a Houston defense that is second in the league in sacks?

Is it worth that risk to play Mahomes on Saturday?

Well if it makes them call a more balanced game plan that also involves a gameplan to protect him and he actually gets his mechanics back from being in the pocket.

The team is not playing well enough to go into Buffalo or Baltimore and win . HFA is essential with the way the offense is stumbling and some questionable defensive play.

If he is fit enough to play then he must play against Houston and Pittsburgh
