It will have strong play-off seeding ramifications....it might end up being the most important game of the season. Ben gets beat up every season..it seems like though. Bengals are going to be pissed....

I'm honestly starting to believe that Chiefs fans are overvaluing Justin Houston.

Yes, he's a great player when healthy but it's unlikely he'll ever have 22 sacks in a season ever again. Last year, he had 7.5 through 11 games, which comes out to 11 sacks in a season, half of what he had the previous year. That's a nice number but it isn't insurmountable.

Also, he only had 25 tackles in 11 games. Dee Ford had 20 tackles in 5 starts.

At this point in time, I expect there to be a dropoff in performance from Houston to Ford but it's not going to be as dramatic as many people in this forum expect.

If Jones can create an interior rush...it'll help Ford's game a lot.

Houston is a game-changer...so we'll disagree about his value. I will agree that KC isn't royally ****ed without him. They absolutely need him by the post season...

I agree to an extent. I just think Houston is such a complete player, and still the best defender we have.

I still believe we'll be fine without him, and we can beat anybody, but he's the type of guy that could be the difference in shutting that Steelers offense down.

Absolutely. He's a great OLBer but it seems like most people act as if the Chiefs are putting 10 guys on the field instead of 11.

They won six straight without him last year, so they've proven that they can win without him.

As for the Steelers, they're a mess. No Le'Veon Bell, no established tight end, weak secondary and only one receiver. Rothlisberger is always the wildcard but he's 34 years old and lost a considerable amount of weight this offseason, which should make him easier to bring down.

Plus, he's always injured.

I will say this, it's nice to play @Pitt and @Oak early in the season, because I fully expect Tamba to **** shit up early on. He has to be feeling pretty good after getting all of TC off.

Some talk on Terez Paylor's podcast about O'Shags being cut. Definitely on the bubble with Travis looking good.

He's gone. Doesn't sound like he's having a great camp, so it's hard to justify keeping 4.

Word is he could possibly retire or get cut if this continues, as he already has a history of concussions. The Steelers are losing guys left and right. We might be able to steal one there.
Steelers are a good team, but if we're relying on maybe stealing games against injury-riddled teams, we're in for a disappointing season. I expect us to simply beat the Steelers at full strength, assuming we are at least. Without Houston, Hali, Berry etc we won't be stealing anything short of Big Ben being out. And even then...

He made some good plays before being hurt...if he gets cut...its more a testament to Dorsey's eye for developing talent. He'll definitely get picked up...

We've got 2 athletic weapons at TE so he's not really needed. Hopefully Travis is for real.

Our cuts will be snatched up fast this year.

Winning on the road in the NFL is extremely difficult. I know you know this, but me personally, I'll "steal" a win any way I can.

Charles, Hali, and Berry barring injury will be playing that game.
