This isn't nearly on the same level as the Farnsworth decisions, but when you're as run starved as the Royals have been, all these smaller decisions are increasingly more important.

You know, the Twins who seem to be at the top of the division year in and out put the bunt down early in games as well. It's part of not having a power lineup.

I have no problems with it personally depending on who is at bat. I like the bunt and think it is under-utilized. If I can put a bunt down in the 1st to get runners in scoring position with 1 out....fine by me. Seems that is just as good as taking a chance of hitting into a DP or not moving the runners.

Seems like to me the Royals have a confidence problem at the plate. Once they start hitting everyone loosens up and they get runs in bunches.
