Yeah..
Or if Pat was throwing it to Higgins instead of handing it off to CEH?

We can play that game all day with all of these GMs. Nobody is perfect. That's not the point.

I bet the Bengals loved drafting John Ross one pick before Patrick Mahomes

There is no point. The only way to win is not to play

I think the Chiefs coaching staff is just as important as the scouting and drafting in terms of development of this guys.

Because you're ****ing absolutely clueless. Belichick the GM is ****ing terrible and he's exactly the reason why that roster is complete and utter shit at this point. He can't even build a competitive roster with a QB on a rookie ****ing deal. But sure, I bet he could've rebuilt our defense (twice), OL, etc. like Veach has done the last 5 years.

There's just no way you could look at his draft history over the last 5-8 years and tell me that we'd have the same exact success with him as GM as we have with Veach, who's become one of the best drafters in the league.
Utter shit? Can't build a competitive roster? Puh-lease. They went 7-9, 10-7 and 8-9 the last three seasons. And that's with a bully in their division while also playing in the tougher conference.

The addition of Reid and Mahomes to any of those rosters immediately makes any one of them a contender.

Quote:
Belichick had the success he had because of Tom Brady and the fact that he's a defensive wizard. His ability or lack thereof to find talent would be on full display if he's not coaching the defense too.
This is a decent argument if you think the synergy between BelichickHC and Brady is greater than that of Reid-Mahomes.

Quote:
Jerry Jones is not a ****ing scout. He's not the guy that found Tony Pollard you buffoon. He listens to his asvisors and the guys that do the leg work. That's it. I'm pretty sure his son has more say than he does these days.
Pure speculation.

Quote:
John Lynch is probably the most overrated GM in the NFL at this point. He's not bad, but nowhere near Veach and Roseman. He also gets to be in the NFC where there are like 2-3 legit contenders. They would jot have the same level of success they've had in the AFC.
The GM who's built the most loaded roster in the league and made three of the last four NFCCGs with two different QBs is "not bad". K.

I don't care if they added Ridely. That team has shown the first 3 weeks that they haven't improved much, if at all. That's disasterous considering where they are right now with Trevor.
It's apparent that their regression has most to do with Lawrence. GM has loaded the offense up with weapons at every position, including adding another prime target at WR this season. At some point the #1 overall draft pick has to earn his keep.

That doesn't mean that you can replace Travis Kelce with 6-8 different TEs and have the same level of success we've had.
Veach is to GMs as Kelce is to TEs.

Y'all heard it here first from the most sane CP poster lol

No, Veach is to Andy as Kelce is Pat is more like it, dumbass.

Meaning, Pat, like Andy, is obviously "more important", but there's a level of level of trust/instincts/chemistry that can't be easily duplicated with a lesser GM/TE.

You have such a difficult time with simple analogies while making terrible ones yourself.

I'd say lets not compare the GM who's had a good couple year stretch to a HC who's going on being what Andy is.

As a fan, I'd put Veach right there at the top.

From an un emotional standpoint, you could say he's only really had a good 2/3 year stretch of moves here, paired with Andy and Pat has made this juggernaut. Going forward, I wouldn't be surprised to see him just keep stacking elite offseasons though. Seems to have really found his groove.

I think where some would push back against him at this point is that Schneider and Howie have done it longer and multiple times.

And yes, the Pats roster is complete and utter shit.

But wait for it....

Belichick is still a great HC. I know that might be shocking to you, but his defensive wizardry is enough to get you 6-8 wins a season.

If he were to retire today and hand that team over to a McDaniels, it would be an absolute dumpster fire, and everybody but you can see that apparently.

If Rodgers doesn't go down they're sitting at 0-3 right and and surely finishing last in their divison.

It's like you're totally incapable of separating Belichick the HC from the GM. Yes, Belichick the HC makes up for Belichcik the GM, it doesn't change the fact that he's a terrible GM.

You won't even acknowledge the terrible drafts because it competlely shits on your reeruned ****ing argument.

All of this competely ignores the role Veach played with getting Pat.

Haven't even gone down that rabbit hole in this argument, but just further proof of the blatant disrespect in regards to the role Veach has played in our success, even before being GM.

Yea, we'd totally have the same success if we drafted like the Pats the last few years.

Pats:

Our entire haul from the Tyreek trade would've been completely ****ing wasted on mediocre to trash prospects.
