In case anyone needs it spelled out, we would play at a neutral site if the AFCCG ends up being Chiefs vs. Bills. All other scenarios abide by the usual rules (so any other game the Chiefs play will be at home).

Which is why I think the NFL is kicking around ideas but ay not announce anything until Sunday night. Maybe some of the games resolve their problems.

Have each team’s fan base create a thread on their respective message boards. Most posts by Sunday at 5 pm decides seeding.

I'm fine with giving Buffalo a get out of KC if they make it to the AFC Championship card.

I am not fine with Cincinnati also getting that since they never could catch us if we win this Saturday.

I'm not fine with letting Buffalo off the hook when it appeared they were on their way to losing in Cincy. If you want to take away home field advantage from KC, it has to be a neutral site.

Why should Buffalo get home field advantage in this situation? Very strong possibility they were going to lose the other night. Both of those teams already dodged 85% of the risk of an injured roster by only playing 15% of the game the other night. Meanwhile KC and every other team has to play a full 17 game schedule.

Of course I would rather not but if the league wants to give Buffalo a get out card I could understand it.

But Cincinnati could never catch our record if we win this Saturday so they should not get a neutral field AFC Championship.

No way I would give up HFA to the team that was headed for an L and wouldn't take a forfeit even though that's the rules.

Just make it a 12 team playoff for each conference. Each of the 4 division winners get a bye week 1.

Next 8 teams play for the right to play division winners in week 2.

Nobody's feelings will be hurt then.

Why the hell would you give Buffalo HFA? They didn't own it before the game started, and they weren't exactly on their way to earning it.

True. But Cincinnati should have a get out of Buffalo card as well. Lets just move all of Buffalo's games to a neutral site.

The two main proposals are...

1 seed gets to pick bye or home field throughout playoffs.

2 seed gets what is not picked.

The other proposal which is supposedly leading says KC gets bye but any AFC Champaignship game involving Buffalo or Cincinnati gets to a neutral site.

I just think Buffalo will lose anyway, hence my "generosity".

If they don't want to play to makeup the game then they take the tie, then when the press release comes out announcing the decision the NFL says the Bengals and Bills didn't want to take the tie so they'll play the game, that was the NFL has no blowback for the decision because the teams made it imo.
