I have to say that the Lakers having won 10 straight seem to be better than any of the last championship teams. Not only that but they are relaxed and having fun like none of the other teams ever have. It's weird watching Kobe joking with Shaq and Carl and Payton. The confidence is just oozing out of their pours. It's like they already know they have won it all. The D is playing great. Offensive boards are off the scale. This team has just beginning to gel and they are already unbeatable IMO. The only thing that can stop them now is a major injury or two.

He must be a serious Queens fan on the tonight. Most of my friends are Queens fans down here. None of them had a problem with that call. My point is the Kings are all beat to hell, old, and Stojakovic isn't shooting for shit and Webber has pretty much layed down.

You should remember that when we talked about this before in a less contentious thread, that I want the Kings to do well this year because AP plays for them.

If the NBA is afraid to punish Kobe and KG during the playoffs, they should not punish AP for doing what is more justifiable.

KG is 7' 1" and he is all lean. If he throws his shoulder and elbow into a guy that is nine inches shorter that is going to hurt.

I think that it is pretty clear that the NBA was afraid to suspend the MVP for a seventh game at home. If that had been a bench player for the T-Wolves doing the exact same as Garnett, that person would have been suspended.

You guys want to criticize and make fun, but you are afraid to directly address the best points that I make, and that is weak.

Dude, if there has been anyone avoiding the facts it's you. Kobe's shot was a hard foul. AP struck KG and dropped him the first shot which had nothing to do with basketball. When KG retaliated with a little elbow to the chest which was not nearly as fierce as the initial strike by AP he tries to take his head off with an elbow that once again could never be confused with a basketball play. The only reason KG wasn't dropped is because AP is a weak ass. I don't know why I even bother debating with you, your nothing like your brother when it comes to common sence. Even AP didn't have an issue with the suspension he said it was just playoff basketball. To date your the only person I have talked to out of all the Kings fans down here that thinks this was unjust. I guess your used to making excuses being a Kings fan but your viewpoint on this is ludicrous. Don't you also find it strange that you are on a BB full of Laker haters you have yet to get one person to agree with you? MOF the Laker haters are calling you a fool. I hope you guys do make it to the next round so LA can clean your clock once again.

No problem. I probably did go overboard in this discussion, but no sense in apologizing in a Laker thread.

No hard feelings, and I might once again have to rebuild my reputation, but I do have to screw up once in a while so that keep fan club membership exclusive.

But I will say:

The first shot on Garnett was something that happens all the time in basketball, it just happened to catch KG in the solar plexus and he went down. If that been called as a foul, which it was not. It would not have even been a flagrant foul.

I bet that in the history of NBA Basketball that is the first time that an offensive player has been called for a flagrant foul for initiating a fight and the player on which the flagrant foul was committed got the more severe punishment.

I don't know you are making a big deal about whether or not the shot delivered by AP had any force behind it, but the fact that you keep saying that it didn't, reveals that you do not know what you are talking about.

No since going round and round on this. KG was as much in the wrong, and the league should not have suspended either one.

Rod Thorn was fair when he had that job and the Nets have become a good team since he started working there.

Stu Jackson suspended Ron Artest earlier in the playoffs for barely stepping on the floor during an altercation. Expect more bad decisions from Jackson, he is just that kind of guy.

The way I seen it, is Garnett is a physical player who grabs a lot of rebounds. He is also huge and towered obove AP. AP probably got tired of his hanging on his chit all game and the refs never calling it so he THREW that fuggin elbow to his gut. He then goes up the floor comes back and there is KG, going, "I'm Vinnie Barbarinooooooo", you don't do that to me, and elbows AP, and AP's gut says FUG YOU man, I aint afraid of you just because your some big ass MVP!

I am glad he stood up to AG( its the hockey in me), but I feel that the NBA supsensions and fines were appropriate.

Besides, follow the money. Do you really think the NBA would sit a Marqee player in a game 7? AP comes in off the Bench. Case closed.

It wasn't a fighting blow, it was incidental contact. he wasn't trying to start a fight. It was a good shot but his intention was not to start brawling with Bibby, it was a BB play. Intention plays a huge role here. The fact that Kobe accidentally hit Bibby harder with an elbow that that pussy AP could muster up on a diliberate strike speaks volumes about what would happen in a AP -vs- KG fight. I hope it happens next year because your boy AP is going down if it happens, mark my words.
