Green's not worth anything with his age matched with his contract matched with his shitty post-concussion play last year. I'd say we'd be fortunate to get a 5th. We're talking about starting Croyle over him. If we see him that way, why in the hell would any team give up anything of value for a 37-year old backup...

don't worry ..... i've already predicted that with Carl in charge the chiefs will get a conditional 6th rounder.

the conditional part will be there because Carl with want to save face and leave some room for ambiguity.

disagree about chicago ..... they are in their window. They dick around too much and they will miss it. They need a QB and they need one now.

Green is a proven guy who won't screw things up ...... Chicago doesn't have a guy like that now.

a 2nd round pick is worth it for a legit chance at the next 3 super bowls.

You can only say that if you completely throw out last season.

One more hit to that melon and it's all over. Chicago (or any other team) isn't giving up a 2nd rounder for that.

You may try to bend the 'Skins over somehow, but we're currently busy with them so you'll have to wait for sloppy seconds.

Green won't screw up? He had 7 touchdowns and 9 interceptions last year as well as some fumbles and a pretty notable screw-up in the redzone in the playoffs. Oh, and he's 192 years old. I would be ecstatic to get a 4th for him.

Trent Green, Kendra Bell, Ron Edwards, and William Bartee to Miami for this year's 2nd and 5th round and a conditional 2008 4th/5th round pick depending upon the performance of Green, Bell, and Bartee.

Miami trades Green and Ronnie Brown to Chicago for Cedric Benson and Chicago's 1st round pick.

Chiefs then ship Larry Johnson to Cleveland for Cleveland's 1st round pick and a conditional 3rd round pick in 2008.

Chiefs get another 1st rounder in 2007 and pick up Adrian Peterson. They also get an additional 2nd and 5th round pick this year's draft; as well as 2 conditional picks in 2008.

wow .... look at me being the one to defend Green now after listening to people call him "Mr. Quarterback" for so many years.

Green is a slow starter ... he typically takes 2/3 games to really get started. He also takes a quarter to get started each game.

he got hurt after 1 game .... then game back and had to restart again.

With Herm's wonderful offense he never was really able to get that 1st quarter rhythm going because of our run, run, pass, punt approach.

last year was not a fair evaluation of Green

i believe we will find now that most QB's look pretty crappy when playing for the Hermanator.

anyone dared say that about Green before you knew he was gone, you would of freaked out and played the "true fan" card faster than Paris Hilton drops to her knees in the bedroom.

now that Green is leaving everyone feels free to throw him under the bus. Just like every other coach/player after they left the chiefs.

they are sacred while here .... trash as soon as they step out the door.

Why would Cleveland give up the 3rd pick for Larry Johnson?

'cause he's a proven commodity. He's a Pro-Bowler and possible future HOF'er. Draft picks, no matter how high, are unproven.
