Carl Peterson..Worst GM in Football History?

19 years with a total of 3 playoff wins and 0 SB appearences.

And the most pathetic part is that at the end of his run when he should of already put together a Pats like team, he is fielding the worst team in Chiefs history.

All I can say is ****ing wow!

Give me a difference.

Carl was wise enough to hire Marty. Otherwise I've haven't seen a single thing in 15 years to separate the two, other than duration.

In terms of ticket and merchandise sales, yes he is good.

In terms of actually fielding a SB team, so far he has had longer to do it than anyone and hasn't even showed up once.

He's had several super bowl caliber teams during his tenure...don't think it's his fault some bounces didn't go the Chiefs way.

It's done now. He needs to be gone.

But he's never had this team in cap hell, and we had Super Bowl caliber teams in the 90s and with Vermeil.

if you think the vermeil team was winning the super bowl with that defense you're crazy

he should have left after the Gunther fiasco, and especially after Vermeil left

The fact that for yet another year we are fielding the worst offensive line in the league, we somehow let the starting LT for the Colts slip so we could hold a spot open for a retiring and broken Roaf, proceeded to go throough year after year with Weigman, who was considerably undersized, went with a rookie OC, contributed directly to QB issues last year, and on and on and on...

Marty fielded good teams and DV hd a good offensive system that was fun to watch. But the fact remains we have not gone to the show. And some teams have done it multiple times.

Since 2001, the year Matt Millen took over as GM, the Chiefs are 57-61.

The Lions are 31-83. That's an average of about 4.4 wins per season. Their best season was last year's 7-9 finish.

The Chiefs made the playoffs twice during that period, losing both times.

The Lions didn't even come close.

During that time Carl Peterson made some boneheaded draft decisions, Ryan Sims and Junior Siavii, being the dumbest.

Neither of those even approaches the stupidity of first picking Joey Harrington, then three wide receivers in three consecutive years, only one of which panned out.

Carl Peterson is God awful, but he is no Matt Millen.
