Hadn't heard him say he would go "anywhere", but the article from PFT has that headline...then inside the article it says something different. Terrible headline Darin Gantt and PFT!

Dwight Freeney, begging for work, admits he’ll go “anywhere”

Longtime NFL pass-rusher Dwight Freeney was able to use ESPN for some free advertising, however.
Via Darren Urban of the Cardinals’ team website, Freeney said he’d love to return to Arizona, but made it clear he wanted to sign for anyone.

“But if it doesn’t work out here, it could be anywhere,” Freeney said. “It just depends. It has to be a winning team. I’m used to winning.”
The 36-year-old Freeney showed he still has some gas left in the tank, with 8.0 sacks in 11 games for the Cardinals last year. He said there was “some interest” from other teams, but the fact he was dragging his bait around on national television indicates that interest has yet to manifest itself into a firm offer.

The interesting part might have been his admission that he wanted to go to training camp with a team, rather than just parachute in late like he did last season.
“I know my body loved [signing late], but the anxiety mentally wasn’t good,” Freeney said. “So hopefully I can get signed before then.”
That makes it sound almost desperate, but Freeney’s been around the league long enough to know he doesn’t have long left, so the idea he wants to savor his final moments in the league.

not saying we should sign him but he was the only pass rusher the Cardinals had in the playoffs worth a shit. Surprised he cant find work hes still a capable 3rd down rush specialist 8 sacks in 11 games isnt bad for a part time player

8 sacks in 11 games is impressive in my book, those numbers kinda shocked me for this geezer... he obviously has something left and is passionate enough about football to sign for peanuts just to keep playing

Choose his spots well and he can still get it done, I can see no possible negatives here

Make it so, Dorsey

There is almost no way that Dadi Nicolas, at 235 pounds, is going to be an edge pass rusher this season and he's no lock to even make the 53.

Furthermore, it would be nearly impossible for Nicolas to set the edge at 235 pounds. Ford's had issues at 245.

The one thing this defense can't afford to lose is it's pass rush. Our young CBs will need all the help they can get up front. Doesn't have to be Freeney but we need to make sure we have the depth in case Houston and company become injured. Ford has his back issues and didn't he have a concussion last year. Then there's Hali's knees and age. A guy like Freeney would be good to have around.

This is exactly why we drafted Dee Ford. He's had 2 years to learn from 2 of the best at the position and get stronger.

it's time to sink or swim

If Ford sinks i don't want the team's season to sink with him.

Houston will be back and Tamba had his knee scoped and is working on making his knees stronger (per his video from NFLN last night).

Chris Jones is gonna help a lot IMO. He has solid strength, athleticism and pass rush moves to go with his massive size to help us on obvious passing downs.

Out DL is gonna generate a lot of pressure just like it did last year.

For the sake of preserving Tamba and giving some insurance in case Houston doesn't recover as quickly as planned, absolutely.

If Freeney signed a Vet Min contract with some incentives, I'd be all for it.

At worst, he doesn't get much playing time and doesn't contribute in 2016.

At best, the Chiefs get another situational pass rusher that still a little left in the tank, as evidenced by 8 sacks in 11 games last year.

With a Vet Min contract, he won't even count against the cap since only the Top 51 are counted until September.
