Yeah I hope they don't play another full 15 minute quarter. They just played 4 full quarters. It's fine the way it is.

It is fine how it is.
If both teams get the chance to score then second team is at an advantage.

Go full qtr. Then player injuries increase. Hell you could play multiple overtimes. Stats could be destroyed.

Just leave it how it is. First TD to win it or after two possessions.

OT is fine for regular season, IMO. However, in the playoffs, just play another 15 minute quarter. If the game is still tied, play another quarter, until we have a winner. It really doesn't have to be that difficult.

No way. Too much risk in doing that. It creates too many potential problems for the winner in the next round.

Under the current rules, games don't last appreciably longer. Certainly not 15 minutes. That creates injury risk and fatigue that becomes a factor in the next round.

I'm all about maintaining competitive balance within games but not at the expense of competitive balance between games.

I don't think it would cause any imbalance, playing an additional quarter. Regardless, the playoff OT rules should change. Whether it's playing an additional quarter or giving both teams the change to possess the ball regardless of outcome, they need to do something.

I'd love it if our next playoff opponent had just finished playing an additional quarter or more of football in order to advance.

This is like saying the 5k ended in a tie so quick run another mile. The winner runs again in a couple days. They say football is like being in an auto accident. You really want these players risking further injury?

I like the thought that in the post season, the lower seed has to win outright in regulation. A tie goes to the higher seed. No further wear and tear for the winner. The regular season has more value. I like it. It's just another small incentive to the higher seed.
