I mean this in the nicest way possible, sounds like a bunch of junk to me. Can't be much value in 30-40 year old worn out boat motors.

We had a 10HP Mercury on an old fishing boat growing up. My Grandpa bought that thing in the early 60's. Great little motor.

I've got a 28 ft party barge pontoon boat with a 1977 mercury 150 for sale . $5000

I can't get a title for it so can't put it on the water. If anybody has their own private water it would be a great deal.

I've got a friend that works for the county attorneys office working on a title but don't know if we can get one.

If you sink it and then bring it back up, can you classify it as marine salvage and lay claim to a title?

Why can't you get a title? Kansas is a state that doesn't title boats, motors or trailers. Get a friend to write you a bill of sale and get a MO title.

Shouldn't be that hard, MO just wants their money and usually just means filling out some paperwork.

Right and I’ve had a couple 2 stroke mercury’s and loved them but I wouldn’t trade this quiet no fuss easily Maintained 4 stroke mercury I have now for anything

Maintenance is the key on any outboard. Run good fuel, winterize and keep the cooling system in working order. The crap they pass for gasoline is hard on anything that sits for more than a couple of weeks.
